The software
Zansay Alpha is a macOS application for voice dictation and text-to-speech. It requires an Apple Silicon Mac running macOS 14 or later. It is distributed as a direct download, signed and notarized for macOS, and can update itself through a signed update feed.
Price and licence
- Zansay Alpha is free of charge. There is no subscription, no trial period and no account.
- You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the app on Macs you own or control, for personal or business use.
- You may not redistribute the app for a fee, misrepresent its origin, or reverse-engineer it except where the law permits this regardless of these terms.
Your content
Everything you dictate belongs to you. Zansay processes it on your device as described in the Privacy Policy and claims no rights over it.
Third-party services
If you connect an optional cloud provider using your own API key, your use of that provider is governed by its own terms and pricing, and you are responsible for those charges.
Third-party components
Zansay bundles open-source components (including whisper.cpp, llama.cpp and FluidAudio) which remain under their own licences; notices ship with the app.
Updates and availability
Zansay Alpha receives updates at our discretion. We aim to keep the app useful and maintained, but we do not promise specific features or release dates.
Warranty
The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zansay is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from its use.
